If it were a way for artists to get money, I would have no issue with NFT's. As it is, though, it's mostly a way for con artists to fleece gullible "investors". Most of the time the creator gets only the initial pittance, the scammers drive up the price with fake trading and hope someone buys it for the inflated price that they want to re-sell it for.
