State of Emergency.
2021-04-26
Yup.
All settled in Tokyo, and of course there's a new State of Emergency. I fully understand why tho..
- 26 infections per 100K people reported last 7 days in Japan.
- 384 infections per 100K people reported last 7 days in Sweden.
Hmmm.. It's so that it doesn't turn into sweden I guess, and I'll blindly do as I'm told, it's actually easier that way.. also, I have the internets at home now, I don't need the real world anymore :) I wish Japan would start vaccinating people for reals tho.
Happy week people!
.. are you vaccinated?

We did something similar in Melbourne. Had a few lockdowns for minimal community transmission. It’s worth it though as Australia is pretty much back to pre-COVID normal. Our vaccine rollout is pretty slow and they are still working through aged care. Probably won’t be seeing a jab in my arm until the end of the year.
@RB - It is worth it, no doubt about that :) Sorry if I came off as thinking otherwise :)
My arm hurts, it feels like I've been beaten up in one small spot :)
Japan's hesitancy toward vaccines is going to be a very difficult hurdle to overcome. Very wary nation. Hopefully this virus will help to shock them out of it but you're well aware how slowly the culture can move there.
The concept of women not dating in college and just getting dogs threw them in a "population decline" panic
@Theo: Wait, what? Dogs? r/holup
Young women in Japan finally realized Japanese men were assholes and decided they would rather have a pet dog and a career than a boyfriend and it led to a panic
