Hello there friends.

As you all heard, the SOPA vote is just around the corner. And we need to make sure this SOPA-shit doesn’t get passed in congress.

So…

January 18, 8am-8pm EST (13.00-01.00 UTC, 14.00-02.00 CET) I will not be tweeting, logging in/on/whatnot, and LG will be shut down (along with other sites I am able to shut down) in protest of SOPA. It’s called #SOPABLACKOUT (instigated by reddit).. go 12 hrs to help save our rights!

How would SOPA work?
It allows the U.S. attorney general to seek a court order against the targeted offshore Web site that would, in turn, be served on Internet providers in an effort to make the target virtually disappear. It’s kind of an Internet death penalty. More specifically, section 102 of SOPA says that, after being served with a removal order:

A service provider shall take technically feasible and reasonable measures designed to prevent access by its subscribers located within the United States to the foreign infringing site (or portion thereof) that is subject to the order…Such actions shall be taken as expeditiously as possible, but in any case within five days after being served with a copy of the order, or within such time as the court may order.

Some critics have charged that such language could blacklist the next YouTube, Wikipedia, or WikiLeaks. Especially in the case of WikiLeaks, which has posted internal documents not only from governments but also copyrighted documents from U.S. companies and has threatened to post more, it’s hard to see how it would not qualify for blacklisting.

NWA Game Con 2011

As you all know, or will know soon, we’re showing up for NWA Game Con 21- 23 October (See, we’re in the guest list! :D). I hope you all can make it! Mainly since this is the first time we’re in the middle of the US of A, and well, to be honest, it’ll probably be the only time too (we don’t get invited to those parts that often).

If you can’t make it, don’t be sad, since you’ll have a chance to hook up for a beer in the area anyways.. since we’re planing a little road trip thru the area.. wide area.

The preliminary trip looks like this so far (14 October > 20 October):

Springfield (Missouri) > West Plains > Cherokee Village > Bono > Memphis > Batesville > Goodman > Jackson >New Orleans > Baton Rouge > Alexandria >Shreveport > Texarkana > Mena > Fort Smith > .. and then land in Springdale for the convention.

(The stops are totally random, and just so that you know what route we’re driving, and we’ll change it if you have any suggestions or want to hook up along the way somewhere).

Please let us know if there’s anything cool to see on the way, or if you live somewhere along the road and know about a party/BBQ/cold beer in the sun chillaxing/cow-surfing.

We’ll bring some books and other stuff if there’s anyone that needs a signed book hand delivered ;)

I really delivered the joke in the last comic bad. Oh well, you win some, you fuck some up. So, I’ll make a new one now about ninjas to compensate.

We had our opening of the store/office last friday, it was good. I could go on and on about it, but I won’t, you’ll have to drop by and take a look on your own, and witness the awesomeness that IS Distorted Kids Store :)

I’m leaving for sheffield next week, family business, but the week after that, the store will be open for realz. Wed > Fri, 1PM > 4.45PM. Drop by people, buy something, or just chill out. We have Little Gamers’ books for sale too, and they’re free with a purchase.. oxymoron, I know :)
