Site/server has been used for extremely many phishing attempts lately, so I had to reinstall a bunch of things.
Please let me know if there something not “working properly”, thanks! :D
Waiting for surftown to do a rollback in order to fix some issues on the server. Until they do that, there will be no updates. Just so you know what’s up. We’ll have to wait for a little bit.
All feeds should be working now again, sorry about that, it was the flattr-script fucking it up it seems.
We got an email from our American distributor today, saying we’ll be discontinued in their store.
This is something we saw coming from miles away, and to be honest, thought would come way sooner. As we have not been selling that much, and not launched anything new in like 3 (!) years, this was inevitable, and we’re cutting the ties to topatoco with a smile, knowing we still have awesome friends there, even if we don’t sell stuff thru them.
The EU-store will stay active for a while longer, but I’m guessing that one will die soon too.
Once I can focus on the comic whole heartedly again, there will be a new store, but for now, we’ll probably do limited runs, in-house, made by yours truly on a preorder basis. But time will tell. First off, I need to focus on work, and the ever pending doom™ that is the mongol rally.
Oh yeah, the comic will of course continue as before, the stores does not affect that.
You guys should check out zeitgeistmusic! I first thought it was reggae, and it was not, but it’s still pretty good :D
One of our more frequent comment-poster is in the band, so I thought I’d do them the small favour of pimping them, as a thank you for keeping the illusion alive that someone actually reads this comic. :)
The documentary is worth seeing, mostly since it is, how ever you see it, a huge part of our digital era history. Piratebay did, indeed, challenged and changed the world.
… also, it isn’t sugar coating anything.
As if you don’t know what I’m talking about…
It’s the day before the trial starts. Fredrik packs a computer into a rusty old Volvo. Along with his Pirate Bay co-founders, he faces $13 million in damage claims to Hollywood in a copyright infringement case. Fredrik is on his way to install a new computer in the secret server hall. This is where the world’s largest file sharing site is hidden.
When the hacker prodigy Gottfrid, the internet activist Peter and the network nerd Fredrik are found guilty, they are confronted with the reality of life offline – away from keyboard. But deep down in dark data centres, clandestine computers quietly continue to duplicate files.
So, the indieGOGO-campaign is done and over. Now I need to print and send out some tshirts and stuff.
The turnout was amazing, and I’m very thankful for all you dudes/dudettes support. THANKS! :)
The planing for the rally continues.
Tonight we have a rally meeting where we will set the route in stone, so that we can start applying for Visas. Exciting!
Ok, catch you all on the flip side.
