   For anybody interested in the details:

   RE: Mercs is an Arcade-style shooter where the “replay” value of the game is to go back through the missions and beat previous high scores.

   While not having the _option_ to clear the savefile, there seems to be very little reason to _want_ to clear it.. There’s no “story” mode, there’s no alternate endings, and I doubt you even get to name your character.

   I don’t see why anybody would want to erase their unlocked items.. it would be like somebody hitting Reset on a Mortal Kombat 3 arcade cabinet where Smoke had been unlocked.

   Drudge: so they prevented resale thru preventing sale thru making it a lame game to start with. Well, it might work

   my thoughts exactly.

   I’m a dude that own with the exception of the lightgun shooter games all Resident Evil games… this will be the first game I will not buy – because I don’t like DRM in my games.
