At least the cat threw in some vowels. When my cat walks on my keyboard he usually just hits numbers and consonants.

I’ve yet to see any news person here in the UK even try to pronounce that name, they’re just calling it “the volcano”.

There’s a Youtube vid with the pronunciation of ejyafjallajokull, and… it doesn’t sound much like the letters seem to suggest. I can’t even pronounce it having *heard* the pronunciation.
Also, I don’t think “bjork” rhymes with “dork”, because of the diaeresis over the “o”. Isn’t it closer to “yerk”?
