No matter what your arguing, enough money wins the contest.

PCs only good side are the games. And even then, there are times they fail. For a work computer a Mac is best. They do everything (you know, like your mum). Not only that but they last longer and are less likely to fail. unfortunatly they are a bitch to upgrade (degree of difficulty depends on what model you have) and a component breaks, then your screwed.

As long as the programs are cross-platform for at least Linux, Mac, and Windows, I’m fine with any of them(since then it’s just preference of working environment, rather than lock-in of programs).
It’s the major reason I choose to learn all three to at least an experienced level and use all three as well.

I keep a second screen beside my laptop, plugged into my MBP and an old compaq PC
DVI to MBP, VGA to the lovely PC
The small PC sits under the desk, and only has e-mail programs on it and browsers for testing
Works like a charm
PS. Still no site to see madsen!
