Since the days are getting longer, and warmer.

So, as you all know, Christian and I are almost out of the mist of starting our own design firm (Christian has run his own for the last 10 years, and we’re now merging his and “me” in to a new one, no pun intended, you dirty people), hence, I have quit my job. This new firm will give us (or at least me) a chance to control the things we output, instead of being told what to do. Well, we will still get told, but we have the option of saying no. Also, “Free time” can be spent on more exciting projects that just your regular “web-gardening” of stuff.

My pet (spare time) project will, of course, be Little Gamers.

LG will still be run on a “for fun”-basis as always, but I’ll put more effort into the jokes/puns, and also start focusing on the things around the comic. New shirts/merchandise, sure, but what I really want to do is open up for you guys to participate more. Yes, I know it’s 2009, and if you have to fill out a online form with more than 1 text-box and use more than 140 characters, you get bored (I’m the same way more or less). So I’m looking for ideas on how we can make this more of “OUR” comic, and not “The swede’s comic”. Some things that pops in to mind off hand is @little-gamers.com email addresses for all, submit-a-link-collection-page (yeah, digg-like), some kind of create your own comic and whatnot.. well, you know.

So, any of you smart people out there have any ideas? Lets brainstorm.
I also want to hear what all you IE6-users have to say, since your browser has been “unlocked” again.. kinda.

I don’t think que email addresses are a good ideia…
Have you seen what Wulffmorgenthaler have been doing in their beta site: http://www.wulffmorgenthaler.dk/
I don’t really undurstand danish but the remix the comic option is great, let the people create some jokes based on blank strips, have polls for witch ones to appear on the front page, stuff like that would be great and I believe would help great a better comunity around little-gamers.
That’s more than 140 characters, have to finish now… BORED!

Yeah, that ‘remix the comic’ is realy nice, but i dont know if it would work for LG…
Its mostly just 3panels with 2 guys talkin, not mutch to remix i would guess ^^

But how about sum kind of ‘comic-creator-tool’?

I was thinking maybe a avatar-generator, kind of like the one the simpsons had a while back?

Some ppl just stick around for being entertained, look around for interactive tv, and how it failed every time someone tried to deploy that idea. Tho as a side project that blog/facebook/comic/kitchensink mashup might be fun. Anyways, wish you luck, keep up the good work :)

TLDR : P Actually I did.
I don’t think avatars’d work: 20.000 ninjas lined up gets boring.
‘Simpsons did it’ applies. Also ‘Southpark did it.’ Avatars, flashgames, movie… Although we’d all like a ninja flashgame, sure. Maybe it’s time to set your hand to a real story as a comicbook, but that’s nothing to do with the site.

The email is not such a bad idea, it’s a nice marketing trick!
The flash creator is a nice gimmick, as you can see here:

To actually publish the fan comics is another story…

Yeah having a fancomics section sounds nice :)

avatars could be good, but since the lg characters are so indistinct from each other already i dont think it would work…

@mr. madsen look in Geohount’s comment, that thing is exactly what i ment but with maybe some more tweakabillity and your own avatar. I would <3 it a lot, and often ;)

PS: I would call my self an LG-fanboy and whatever you will do, I love it. LG makes my day a good day since 5years, so just keep it up, what ever u do! =)

I like the idea of a separate “comic book” style strip. That would be interesting. Also more wallpapers would be nice, specifically one based on the paper clip strip.

News on the books would be a good start…

Sounds like a very exciting new frontier. I don’t have any ideas on me right now but I throw my support behind you in more ways than you can throw a dwarf

How about a little mexican touch (hey, we are on the news!), so start drawing those big sombreros!!.

it will be a cool idea that the swedish love expands to swedish around the world love….

Wallpapers, yes, that’s actually on my “todo”-list, and the paperclip is on top! (The one saying shit about “Yet another meaningless day at work, need help?”)
