@kyou - rather than getting hell bent on describing how hard it is to web develop for IE6, you might want to learn how to actually read and spell what you read.. You didn't put in the two seconds of effort to read and write"crisatunity" correctly. How hard can you be trying at testing for multiple versions of multiple platforms.

I am a web developer and I've never been slapped by IE6, so your claims have proven doubly ignorant and idiotic.

Plater, just use Opera or Chrome if you need speed.
Heck, you could even use Safugly.
Firefox is a bit of a beast, but that is to be expected, it is a feature whore.
I <3 FF

No mr.madsen , I roll with the latest FF3. It just has a habit of pigging out I think it has to do with the in memory cache, I open and close a lot of tabs. But FF has a bad habbit of loading plugins and never unloading them, even if you close the tabs they were used in. (And no, I got rid of "Firebug: the original memory leak" a long time ago)
FF is using more virtual and regular memory then both of my visual studios COMBINED.

IE7 makes me want to vomit on my shoes and then rub it in my eyes so I never have to see that horrible UI again.

So its FF3 for fun, IE6 for work related things

Haha... Apparently HTML is stripped (not converted to HTML entities), so here's another try... Sorry for spamming.

Replace '(' with the less-than sign and ')' with greater-than.
(!--[if IE 6])
Something only IE 6 parses...

Jón Frímann, he's using an IE-specific feature to check for IE 6.

Faking the user agent string won't help.

Christianity, they care because they are web designers and clearly you are not. IE6 sucks at reading code so you always have to bust your ass more than necessary to make shit work on it. When people design websites they spend more time fixing all the bugs on IE than designing the whole thing. Using IE is slapping all the web designers in the face.

They way some people/programs write code, that's a recipe for headache!
---
You know, IE days are seriously numbered, and Firefox needs to scramble to keep up (and I don't doubt it can though). Cause Safari 4 is out! See http://www.apple.com/safari/features.html

Netscape? What are you TALKING about?! The one and only way to view web content is to use Telnet or Netcat to make HTTP requests and then parse the (X)HTML in your head! That way you can be sure it's done right, and you won't have to worry about being patronized by some stupid rendering engine either.
