   Oh that’s easy. It’s because it likely came with their Windoze XP system. I know IE6 is still on my parents’ 8 year old Windows XP desktop.

   But that’s still no excuse to stay there. Silly stupid people.

   Where I work they still have IE5! I cry every time someone someone checks web based email.

   We still use it at work, because the installer for a bit of Cisco software relies on it. Upgrade to 7 and it just fails with a really unhelpful error, so personally I’m blaming Cisco for everything.

    @ lost_scotsman: what im really wondering is how he gets them on? thos short arms cant reach beyond the mouth?
    maybe the gf puts them on and thats why they are pink?

    Some are probably still using pirated versions of Windows which will not allow you to upgrade to SP2. Others are corporate folks with web applications that rely on IE6 (like the one person above who has a Cisco system that requires it). And still others just don’t care or even know.

    Maybe it’s also satan… ;-)
