You know, on one of my slightly related but pretty much not topics, a friend of mine told me that he’s been owed about 3 weeks back pay from a guy he’s doing a job for and this guy came up to him and asked if he could pay him next week because he “hasn’t got enough money to keep his helicopter in the air”. I reckon that’s the BEST excuse i’ve ever heard for not paying someone on time.

It was my understanding that everyone thought that. You’re generally told by Career Advisors that if your CV or application letter doesn’t grab an employer within the first two lines then it will not be read.
