it took me a while... but yeah, smart :D
I feel like such a nerd now...
hehe, hand held time filler, got one of those things. but dont like the single player mode so much, prefer multiplayer
@SXO
You and me both.
So we can bash shit on the go!
@Aerisismine
. . .
I don't get it... explain it to me please :P
I want a hand held linux console pliiiiiizz!?
I * DON'T * GET * IT
Get it, I do not......
If get it you do not, a nerd you are not
Windows behaves and functions like a bitch, thus us windows users have no use for the hand held console ^^
I've got Ubuntu on the PC, CFW on the PSP and Windows on my mobile phone.
And still, I don't get it.
I do feel glad I don't got it. Anyway, tnx Hugomanen for the explanation.
Another fun thing is that it appaerently exist almost 4000 Linux jokes that doesn't really work
That was, indeed, funny. Though I needed a moment...
For the people who don't get it:
Linux has this 'console' or 'terminal' window, in which you can type commands (a text interface as you wish).
The joke is that they use 'console' as a gaming device, while the nerd is talking about the linux text-based command line interface.
There you go, you have been educated.
Damn my knowledge of linux...
Wouldn't "txt"ing on a phone without a full keyboard be a "handheld console" since the effect is roughly the same.
No Stijn, not real. The joke is about er... well, lets say winusers and/or guys w/ gf's wont get it.
And to think I actually execute firefox from terminal...
Certified Nerd. Props Tak and many golf claps to Stijn for the edumacation of anyone without a CCNA or copy of win3.11 sitting around collecting dust.
You guys may want to see this... http://www.usc.uwo.ca/bigpurplecouch/default.htm
I think you're being ripped off!
Geek tests are fun. I too feel nerdy.
Thanks for the heads up Caroline, I've emailed them. :)
I actually have a handheld Linux console (A Hacked Jornada 720)
...
so...being ripped off by the big purple couch, why couldnt it have been something badass like...a japanese toy company
I got it but more for being a programmer (for the term console output) than by linux usage... And I do realize where the term comes from, but the term programming-wise is used in windows as well ;) I guess I'm showing a lack of nerdiness here, but I can't remember running a linux dist that referred to the terminal as "console".
Still. Sweet.
@Melladh: there's a alternative terminal application, called 'Konsole' in ubuntu distro's.
=)
@Doc: I know it's nerdy, but i can't really help it. I study Computer Science.
@ pxl: Pfft firefox from the terminal? Links all the way!
