   Anonymoose, I’m guessing you’ve only tried the sissy Smirnoff Ice’s and the like. Try doing ice cold shots of it and then try and say it’s gay.

   ever tried “cachaça”? it’s a brazilian drink made of sugar cane, and if not good enough you can make “graspa” out of it which by the way it’s damn close to pure alcohol

    Pfft. You can’t get real vodka outside of Russia, and some in Poland.

    And damn do they know how to drink…… (My wife is half-Russian, half-Georgian, both sides drink FUCKLOADS)…
    I’m fairly sure my liver was ~90% dead after my first visit to her parents…

    I have nothing against vodka, I like vodka. But if you compare it to whiskey, cognac, rum or a barrell of beer; Vodka seems a bit gay.

    And anonymoose, cognac is a pansy drink, beer is for the weaklings who can’t take high proofs, rum I’ll give you as long as it’s dark and whiskey is fine as well. But as shots none of those compare to vodka for manliness. About the only thing manlier is Absinthe.

    Ardbeg cask strength is teh win. 60% alcoholm, with the taste of a bonfire. And the voice you get the day after, classic!

    In Scotland the hardened drinkers go for meths (methylated spirits/paint stripper). Funnily enough there seems to be a high proportion of blindness in such a small country…..

    lost_scotsman: not hardened drinkers - drunks & students. The rest of us have more refined tastes and go for single-malt whiskey. :P

    Sheesh man, deal is not an issue. ‘Snot gay depending how you drink it. Clean iced vodka is too close to pure alcohol to be gay. Like white rum. (or even absinth).. you mix it with fruit juice or shit, then that’s the “marcus” type drink. Or Canadian whiskey man.(Crown Royal? Meet the king? Gay, man).
    Apart from that I can’t remeber a single absolut ad anyhow.. ah, life without telly in Europe.. =P
